Managing Projects
Tracking Project Progress
Rather than checking every task individually, a project’s status and task breakdown give you a quick read on how far along the work is.
What to look at:
- The project’s overall status (e.g., In Progress, Completed).
- A breakdown of its tasks by status, so you can see at a glance how many are done versus outstanding.
- Milestones, if the project uses them, each one shows as planned or completed.
- The project report (see Exporting a Project Report) for a fuller summary, including how work is distributed across assignees.
Good to know:
- Progress is only as accurate as your task statuses; a task left open long after the work is actually done will make the project look less finished than it is.
