Setting Project Visibility

Last updated September 23, 2026  ·  1 min read

By default, a project is visible to whoever is directly assigned to it (or part of an assigned team), plus its creator and any Admins/Managers. Visibility settings let an Admin or Manager extend view access to specific additional people, without making them a working member of the project.

To grant or change visibility (Admin/Manager only):

To grant or change visibility (Admin/Manager only):

  1. Open the project and click Manage Members to open the member management panel.
  2. Under Assigned Members (Full Access), select any project members you want to grant full access to.
  3. Under View-Only Users, select any users you want to give view-only access to.
  4. Click Save Members at the bottom; the people affected are notified automatically that access was granted or removed.

Good to know:

  • This is a view-access grant, not a role change. Someone given visibility this way can see the project but is treated as view-only; they generally can’t edit it or upload files.
  • Only Admins and Managers can manage visibility; it isn’t available to regular members, even project creators.
