Understanding & Using Your Notifications

Last updated September 15, 2026  ·  2 min read

Notifications are your running feed of everything relevant happening across your projects and tasks: assignments, comments, approvals, and more all reachable from one bell icon.

Where to Find Them

To view your notifications:

  1. Click the bell icon, usually near the top of the screen.
  2. Browse the list, newest first.
  3. Click any notification to jump straight to what it’s about.

A smaller “latest” preview is typically available right from the bell icon, without opening the full notification list.

Understanding the Badge

The number on your bell icon tells you at a glance how many you haven’t looked at yet.

  • The badge shows your current unread count.
  • It updates as new notifications come in and clears as you read them.
  • Opening a notification marks it as read; the badge count drops accordingly.

Marking Notifications as Read

To mark notifications as read:

  1. Click a notification to open it this automatically marks that one as read.
  2. Or, to clear everything at once, use the Mark All as Read option in your notification list.

Marking as read doesn’t delete a notification it stays in your list, just no longer counted as unread.

Commenting on a Notification

Some notifications support their own comment thread, useful for quick back-and-forth about the specific update, without navigating away to the underlying task or project.

To comment on a notification:

  1. Open the notification.
  2. Look for a comment field beneath it.
  3. Type your comment and post it.
  4. Anyone else who can see that notification can view and reply to the thread.

Good to know:

  • This comment thread is lightweight and tied to the notification itself, separate from comments on the underlying task.
