Setting Up Push, Email & Chat Alerts

Last updated September 15, 2026  ·  2 min read

Three delivery channels you can turn on so notifications reach you where you actually are your phone, your inbox, or your team’s chat tool.

Push Notifications on Mobile

To enable push notifications:

  1. Open the PMS mobile app.
  2. When prompted, allow notification permissions for the app.
  3. If you missed the prompt, enable notifications for the app from your device’s system settings instead.

Push notifications respect your category preferences; the Desktop channel toggle controls this.

Email Notifications

To manage email notifications:

  1. Go to your Notification Settings.
  2. For each category, turn its Email toggle on or off as needed.
  3. Save your changes.

Unlike some tools, there isn’t a separate “digest frequency” setting; email is either on or off per category, sent as things happen.

Connecting Slack, Google Chat, or Microsoft Teams

If your team lives in a chat tool, you can route your PMS notifications there directly using a webhook — no need to check the bell icon separately.

To connect a webhook:

  1. Create an incoming webhook URL in Slack, Google Chat, or Microsoft Teams (this is set up on that platform’s side).
  2. In PMS, go to your Notification Settings.
  3. Paste the webhook URL into the matching field: Slack Webhook URL, Google Chat Webhook URL, or MS Teams Webhook URL.
  4. Save
  5. Use the test option to send a sample notification and confirm it arrives.

Good to know:

  • Webhooks are a personal setting; each person connects their own. It isn’t a single organization-wide integration.
  • Even with a webhook connected, you still need the matching channel toggle turned on for each category you want delivered there.
