Self-Approving or Marking Your Own Sub-Task for Rework

Last updated September 14, 2026  ·  1 min read

If you’re both the creator and assignee of a sub-task you made for yourself, you review your own submitted work directly instead of waiting on someone else.

Self-Approving

To self-approve:

  1. Open your submitted self-created sub-task.
  2. Click Approve.
  3. Confirm

Marking for Rework

If, on review, your own self-created sub-task isn’t actually ready, you can send it back to yourself for rework rather than approving it.

To mark for rework:

  1. Open your submitted self-created sub-task.
  2. Click Needs Rework.
  3. Add a comment or instructions for yourself, and optionally a new deadline or supporting files.
  4. Confirm status changes to Rework Required.

Good to know:

  • Both actions only work when you’re both the creator and the assignee if anyone else is involved, it goes through the normal approve/reject flow instead.
