Filtering & Sorting Your Task List

Last updated September 14, 2026  ·  1 min read

With more than a handful of tasks, narrowing down to what matters and putting it in the right order is faster than scrolling through everything.

Filtering

To filter your tasks:

  1. From your task list, use the search box to find tasks by title, status, priority, business ID, assignee name, or project name.
  2. Use the filter options to narrow by assignee, project, status, or priority.
  3. Combine filters as needed; they apply together, not one at a time.

Sorting

To sort your tasks:

  1. From your task list, open the sort options.
  2. Choose what to sort by for example, due date or priority.
  3. Choose ascending or descending order, if available.
  4. The list updates immediately.

Good to know:

  • Sorting and filtering work together; sort order applies within whatever filtered set of tasks you’re currently viewing.
  • Filters reset when you leave the page unless you save them as a view. See Saving Custom Task Views if you find yourself applying the same filters repeatedly.
