Your Dashboard: What’s On It, What It Means & How to Customize It
Your dashboard is the first thing you see after logging in: a summary view pulling together the projects, tasks, and updates that matter to you, and you can reshape it to fit how you work.
What’s On Your Dashboard
- My Tasks summary: a quick look at tasks assigned to you, grouped by status (To Do, In Progress, In Review).
- Recent Projects: the projects you’re part of, with a progress indicator for each.
- Notifications panel: your latest alerts (assignments, comments, approvals) without opening the full notifications list.
- Upcoming deadlines: tasks and deliverables due soon, so nothing sneaks up on you.
- Quick stats: small widgets summarizing things like open tasks, overdue items, and tasks completed this week.
Understanding the Widgets & Stats
The stat cards and charts aren’t just decoration; each one is a shortcut to a specific slice of your work.
- Task count by status: how many tasks you have in each stage (To Do, In Progress, Submitted, Completed).
- Overdue items: tasks or deliverables past their due date, flagged so they’re easy to spot.
- Project progress bars: the percentage of tasks completed within each project you’re part of.
- Team activity feed (Team Leads/Admins): a live-ish stream of what your team has been doing: submissions, approvals, comments.
Customizing Your Dashboard
If the default layout isn’t quite what you need day-to-day, you can adjust it.
To customize your dashboard:
-
To customize your dashboard:
-
At the bottom of your dashboard, find and click the Add button.
-
Select the widgets you want to add to your dashboard, such as Calendar Events and other available options.
-
Drag widgets to reorder them, putting what you check most often at the top.
-
Save your layout: it stays this way the next time you log in.
-
Good to know:
- What appears on your dashboard can vary by role. Team Leads and Admins typically see team-wide stats in addition to their own.
- Clicking almost anything on the dashboard a task, project, notification, or stat widget takes you straight to that item (clicking “Overdue,” for example, filters your task list to just overdue items).
- Numbers update as work happens; you don’t need to refresh the page manually in most cases.
- You can reset to the default layout at any time. Customization is personal; changing your layout doesn’t affect what teammates see on theirs.
