Managing Event Details


Managing Event Participants: Add, RSVP & Cancel Once an event exists, you can adjust who's invited, respond to an invitation yourself, or call the whole thing off. Adding or Removing Participants To manage participants: Open the event. Go to its Participants section. Click Add Participants and select people to invite, or select an existing participant and choose Remove. Save Responding with RSVP If you've been invited to an event, you can let the organizer know whether you're coming. To RSVP: Open the event you've been invited to.... Adding Attachments & Reminders to an Event Beyond the basic event details, you can attach supporting files and set up reminders so the right people are notified before it happens. Attaching Files To attach a file to an event: Open the event. Go to its Attachments section and click Upload. Select the file from your device. It's now available for anyone who can see the event to download. To remove one later, open the event's Attachments section, select the file, and choose Delete. Setting Reminders Reminders are... Managing Event Categories Categories let you color-code and group events, team meetings, deadlines, and announcements so you can scan your calendar at a glance. To create, edit, or delete a category: Go to Calendar and open Event Categories (usually from the calendar's settings or filter menu). To create one, click New Category, name it, and pick a color. Using the Calendar


Viewing Your Unified Calendar Your calendar pulls together events, task due dates, and deliverable deadlines into one view. To view your calendar: Go to Calendar. Browse by month, week, or day. Click any item to open the underlying event, task, or deliverable. Good to know: This is a combined view it doesn't just show events you created, but relevant deadlines across your work. Understanding Event Visibility Like projects, events have a visibility level controlling who can see them. Visibility levels: Private: Only the organizer and invited participants. Organization: Visible to everyone in your organization. Project-linked: Visible to everyone with access to the linked project. Good to know: A company-wide announcement is the typical case for organization-level visibility. How to Edit or Delete an Event Event details often shift reschedule or cancel as needed. To edit or delete: Open the event from Calendar. Click Edit to change details, or Delete to remove it. Save or confirm. Good to know: Only the event's organizer, or an Admin/Manager, can edit or delete it. How to Create an Event Events cover meetings, deadlines, and announcements, and can be tied to a project or kept general. To create an event: Go to Calendar and click New Event. Enter a title and description, and pick a type (e.g., Meeting, Announcement; announcements can be broadcast org-wide; see Understanding Event Visibility).
